Information We Collect

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and optionally your location. We also collect device information (device ID, platform) to deliver push notifications and improve the service.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to operate the Boma livestock marketplace — connecting buyers, sellers, and veterinary professionals. This includes showing relevant listings near you, sending notifications about your posts and account activity, and improving the overall service.

Location Data

Location sharing is optional and can be turned off in app settings at any time. When enabled, we use your location to sort livestock listings and veterinary doctors by proximity, making it easier to find what's near you.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Your phone number and email are visible on your public profile to enable buyers and sellers to contact each other directly. You control what information is visible.

Data Storage

Your data is stored securely on servers hosted by DigitalOcean in Europe. Images are stored on DigitalOcean Spaces with CDN delivery for fast loading.

Push Notifications

We send push notifications for post likes, new followers, ticket replies, and important system updates. You can disable notifications in the app settings.

Data Deletion

You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting support through the app. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
